Trombonist Reggie Goebel's battle with esophageal cancer this'd Saturday morning at the Odyssey hospice facility in north Houston. A memorial is being planned -- information will be posted here.

Reggie entered St. Luke's Hospital on December 29 with peritonitis.  After scans and lab work cancer was discovered in his greater omentum.  Later esophageal cancer was determined with metastates.  He was transferred to ICU on January 16 to assist in his transfer to hospice that day.
