Background

Graduated '64 from Lamar High,Houston,under Ed Trongone's guidance at big band music, played several jams with Kenny Rogers, one gig with BJ Thomas & the Triumphs, local TV jazz combo and rock band gigs (Larry Kane show), sock hops for KILT in the 60's, Hal Tennyson's big band,lead trumpet for The Jazz Medics (formerly known as The Heart Beats under Dr Denton Cooley), soloist with the Chuck Nolen Houston City Lights Big Band, occasional trumpet sectioner with the Ronnie Renfro Big Band and Ricky Diaz Big Band, irregular over 20 years with Russell White and his neverending quest to offer a venue for fantasizing would-be singers!, and rhythm & blues jammer since the 60's. My day (and night) job is an emergency room physician.
