Background

Drummer Cory Cox, 24, a 2006 graduate from the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, Texas has been playing the drums since age nine. He was a member of the 2006 Gibson Baldwin Grammy Jazz Ensemble and the 2006 Texas Music Educators Association All-State Jazz Ensemble. Cory attended the prestigious Dave Brubeck Institute at the University of Pacific and graduated from the New School University with a degree in jazz & contemporary music performance. He has had the opportunity to study and share the stage with Keith Sanders, Sebastian Whittaker, Jeff "Tain" Watts, Eric Harland, Michael Carvin, Jorge Rossy, Freddie Hubbard, Nicholas Payton, Christian McBride, Robert Hurst, Kirk Whalum, Joshua Redman, Miguel Zenon, John Ellis, Robert Glasper and more.
