Background
Glenn Sharp received his musical training at Houston Baptist University where he studied with well-known conductors Dr. David Wehr, Dr. Robert Linder, and has been fortunate to work with some of the best talent and teachers in Houston. An Ordained Minister, Glenn has recorded two projects Stronger Still and Hymn to Hymn, and most recently a project specifically for the pre-teen age group called Songs in the Key of Me. He has opened for and worked with many popular entertainers like Barry Manilow, Judy Norton (Mary Ellen on The Waltons)Patty Caberra, Point of Grace, Steve Camp, Bryan Duncan, and the late Grady Nutt and Jerry Clower. He has also toured extensively across the country and overseas in concerts, ministry work, and speaking. Currently working on his first book, Glenn also serves as the Musical Director and Composer for the nationally recognized DIONYSUS Theater Troupe whose original work, which he wrote the music for, was performed by invitation only at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC in 2003 to celebrate the 14th Anniversary of the ADA. In addition, he also serves on the Outreach Staff for Theater Under the Stars and is in demand as a Music Director for numerous Houston area professional and community/school productions, each year. Most recently, he was involved with the Southeast US premiere of the critically acclaimed, CAROLINE, OR CHANGE and Elton John/Tim Rices AIDA. Additionally, Glenn has served on the Teaching Staff of The Humphreys School of Musical Theater, and as the Music Director Six Flags Astroworld and The Great Caruso Dinner Theater, and Texas Family Musicals.
