Background

 Trying to master jazz piano before it masters me.  Have played lots of non-jazz gigs professionally back in the day...blues bands, country, whatever, and now trying to figure out jazz.  Take lessons from Gary Norian, gig (rarely) with some other old dudes in a swing era dance band and practice more than I should.  Interested in meeting other amateurs who would like to jam in a "mistakes are cool" environment.  Have no aspirations to quit my day job...just love the music.
