Background

Amateur jazz musician...

When I'm not working, I enjoy my family, my friends and my music. I don't sing... my boys tell me not to. I play flugelhorn and trumpet for the praise band at my church, and I recently played with a now-defunct local jazz swing band. Just recently joined Bob Odneal's jazz ensemble at San Jac South and love it... still got a lot to learn.  While I enjoy most types of music, jazz is my favorite genre. I discovered my musical idol, Chuck Mangione, in 1978 and he has been a huge musical influence for me. The first check I ever wrote was as a 15-year old to buy my first LP album "Feels So Good." I've always enjoyed playing, but I love it now more than ever.
