Background

Paul's career spans 30 years of experience as a seasoned sideman, bandleader, studio musician, author, clinician and teacher. At 21 years old Paul got his first recording contract with Decca Records as a member of The Magic Grass. It was early on that he first experienced recording sessions and national touring. After time, Paul decided to form his own group, The Next Step which was subsequently signed to a recording contract with Pandora records. While touring, Paul was enlisted to join the The Eddie Cash Show. The World Of Music tour included national tours with emphasis on performances in Tahoe, Reno and Las Vegas Nevada. Paul eventually returned to Los Angeles to pursue studio work. His efforts found him doing jingles, TV Cues (Hawaii 5.0/Knotts Landing/Dallas), and backing up various recording artists including Aretha Franklin, The Righteous Brothers, Lee Ritenour, and Lalo Shifrin to name just a few.
