BACKGROUND - "I'm a 32 year old, richly blessed single Mexican who grew up in Houston, TX. and calls Houston home. I have a total of 23 years of playing experience with 15 of them as a Professional Musician and Music Educator. I played all over the place as a student but I owe almost everything I know and am professionally to the Jazz Education Inc. Summer Jazz Workshop; Bubbha Thomas CEO. Thanx again for everything Mr. Thomas! I should also mention that I wouldn't have even known where to begin if it weren't for Richard Ramey, Noe Marmolejo (at UH), Gary Weldon and Robert McElroy (currently at HBU). Thanx to you too Mr. Ramey, Mr. Marmolejo, Mr. Weldon, and Mr. McElroy! I hope God continues to bless future generations of cats under development through the work that you guys do in our community."


WORK - "I was working in Queretaro and San Miguel de Allende, Mexico for the about 5 years. I got back to town Nov. 03' and am currently the Chief Musician and Band Manager of the Groovemeisters in H-town. We played at Bistro 829 in Katy for just over two years. I led Trios and Quartets at Birraporretti's Sunday Jazz Brunch for about six months, and was the saxman for Fried Ice Cream (With Shang and Melissa Bishop as well as Kieth Vivens) for about a year. I also teach Jazz Idiom and History / Music Business during the summer at The Summer Jazz Workshop in T.S.U. I've played innumerable private event gigs. I teach lessons too; and, If you need any kind of band for any kind of music I can get you hooked up. Just try me 713 305 2200!"
