Background

Began piano at the age of 6 in Dallas and by the age of 15 knew she wanted to write music. Moved to Houston at the young age of 18 where she began a career as a legal assistant for the next 27 years. Has registered over 100 songs with the Library of Congress and recorded several demos...2 of which were submitted to Madonna back in the early 90's. Capable of writing "quick, spunky HOOKS" or "mellow, smooth balads,love songs and duets." Has no aspirations to be a performer, only a songwriter making a difference in the world thru music and great lyrics...she believes music is a "universal language" able to break down many barriers in society and her lyrics represent that ideology. Was inspired by the music of Genesis, Sting, The Eagles, Carpenters, John Denver, Todo, Mellancamp, Bono, Huey Lewis, Billy Joel, Elton John, Donna Summer, Manilow, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, Paul McCartney, Kenny G, Lionel Ritchie, too many to list. Learned her vocal skills probably in the womb, all she ever remembers from a young age is her love of singing. Singing acapella and learning all vocal parts growing up in Church. Currently is continuing her passion of songwriting under her own publishing company "Moonflower Music Publishing" and began her first CD project in November 03' due to be completed by the end of April 04.
