Background

Big Easy Award nominated actress and vocalist, Troi Bechet has been a featured vocalist at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, the Satchmo Festival, the House of Blues, Snug Harbor, the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, the Loews Hotel, the Bombay Club...to name a few. She has opened for Boney James and Stevie Wonder and shared the stage with New Orleans jazz greats the Astral Project and Kermit Ruffins. In addition to jazz performances, Troi has performed with the legendary Moses Hogan Chorale and the award-winning all female gospel group, One A-Chord. As an actress, she is best known for her portrayal of Billie Holiday in "Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill" which she has toured around the country since 2002. Born in New Orleans, Troi relocated to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. She is available for club dates, conventions and private functions with her band (duo to big band, as needed)
