Hogan, Don Wilkerson, Arnett Cobb, Jimmy Ford, Herman Matthews, Conrad Johnson, Barrie Lee Hall, Jr. (longtime Duke Ellington member), Frank Lacy, Mark Kelley, Alan Hampton, Tex Allen, and Eddie "Cleanhead" Vinson.
